A Word From Our Sponsors

Do you ever have those days that work is so boring that all you want to do is see what is Pinteresting and all the people you follow have taken the day off? Well I would like to personally thank everyone who I follow for today's constant pinning spree. Thanks! :)

We'll be right back after a word from our sponsors!
  Holly, take it away!

. . . . .

So, everyone has a "cause" and mine is childhood cancer. It's just so sad to me to watch these kids suffer so much, not only from the cancer, but from the medication that is much too strong for their little bodies. Solution: raise funds to research new medicines. The problem is, not enough people know about the horrors of childhood cancer. Solution: raise awareness.

There is a petition on the White House page petitioning the government to go gold for the month of September; gold is the color of childhood cancer, and September is childhood cancer awareness month. Can you imagine how much attention childhood cancer would get if THE White House went gold???

Here's were you come in. :) It takes less than five minutes to create an account (where you type your name, email, and optional city of residence) and sign this petition. It only takes 1/288 of your day! And, if we get enough signatures (25,000 by 6 February), things could start to change for all the kids who had, have, or will have cancer.

Here's the link: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/light-white-house-gold-month-september-honor-pediatric-cancer-fighters-and-bring-light-cause/syV6M6wX

Let's sign it for all the cancer kids out there, and all the ones who will get cancer, and all the kids who have passed away from cancer. Every signature counts!!! And feel free to share. :)

I'll step off my soap box now and leave you with a picture of SuperTy. Ty Campbell passed away on 17 October 2012, after more than two years of fighting for his life against cancer. He was five years old.
